THANK YOU FOR USING eXPRESS COLLAGE AND COLLAGE LITE 2.1!
eXPress Collage (and Collage Lite) 2.1 allows you to combine text and pictures along with sound effects, backgrounds and arrows into customized presentations. Use Collage to create ebooks, photo albums, calendars, journals, business presentations, employee handbooks, greeting cards, and much more!
Versatile and easy to use, Collage may be unlike any software you have seen before. For beginners, we recommend the Quick Start wizard. Once you become familiar with Collage, starting from scratch will be easy, too.
For additional information, you can refer to the Collage Help Topics, or the demos and tutorials available online and included on the eXPress Collage 2.1 CD-ROM. We hope you will enjoy hours of fun using Collage to create and share practically anything you can imagine!
SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS
Operating Systems: Windows 95/98, NT4.0 (SP5)
Processor: Intel, 75 MHz or higher
RAM (memory): 32 MB minimum*
* Additional RAM (or virtual memory swap file space) may be required for large Collage files, or when importing a high quantity of images.
IMPORTANT NOTE: Large Collage files may take a long time to open, or may not open at all, on computers without enough resources (physical or virtual memory and hard drive space). If a Collage project is intended to be viewed by a wide audience, the project designer should take steps to optimize the project, and perhaps even split the project into multiple files, so that it may be viewed on computers with low resources.
Video Requirements:
The recommended color palette setting for eXPress Collage and Collage Lite 2.1 files is High Color (16 bit) or above. Collage will operate with a reduced palette (such as 256 colors), but if imported images contain more than 256 colors, Collage will not compensate for the missing colors.
The optimal screen resolution (display size) for eXPress Collage and Collage Lite 2.1 is 800x600. Collages may be viewed in 640x480 or 1024x768, but depending on the canvas size of the project, the Collage may seem too large or too small for the screen. All Navigators are optimally sized for 800x600 displays.
To determine what color palette or screen resolution a computer is utilizing, choose Project|System Properties from the Collage menu. The settings may be changed via the "Display" icon in Control Panel (a feature of the computerÆs operating system, not eXPress Collage 2.1).
